Hello.

My name is Chris Depa and I’m an Interactive Art Director from Chicago. Over the past 11 years I’ve experienced work life within a catalog and branding firm, an internet marketing agency, a wickedly bitter Chicago liqueur company and through various freelance clients. I’ve been really fortunate to have worked with great companies like National Geographic, The Field Museum, Lou Malnati’s, Jeppson’s Malört and The Republic of Tea, amongst others.

For these brands I’ve created logos, print collateral and packaging, architected online experiences, designed websites, user interfaces, and mobile apps and also created overall marketing strategies. Through all these different disciplines one thing has always fascinated me: how a brand is created and communicated effectively through them for results.

Over the years I’ve learned a lot and don’t see that stopping anytime soon. I love what I do, and I do it well.

My Process

I am a designer foremost, however, I understand that the online experiences I create need to return my client’s investments in them. My work is equally aesthetically pleasing as it is user-friendly, enjoyable, intuitive and strategic. At the end of the day it’s about growing my client’s business, so my process is equal parts research, strategy, design and development.

Whether you’re a small start-up or large corporation, I apply the same level of thought, attention to detail, and creativity. Every project is built by hand, pixel by pixel.

I’m always interested in hearing about cool new projects so get in touch!
